Metallica is lame. They aren't really that skilled musically, they use the same chord pattern in almost every song and think they own it and try to sue local bands in third world countries to make themselves feel important. They are definitely worn out today and its evident in their playing they don't much care for metal or playing any more. They were a decent band in the beginning, not so much when they hit it big because they sold out instantly. At some point they decided they were gods on top of all this and have become reminiscent of the movie "Spinal Tap" except for the fact Spinal Tab's guys are actually good. To sum up Metallica is like this: "We're Metallica. We own D-C-G, you can't play them. We know three kind of obscure scales and that's all we ever use. We think we invited Drop D and C, so we must be amazing. We sold out to get more money. Don't download music or play it. Worship us."
Iron Maiden. I have no deep analysis of their playing, as I haven't listened to them much. They sound a lot like Judas Priest fused with Rush's singer to me. Their studi

rk is good, I'll give them that, but they suck balls live. I attended a concert and it was terrible, I couldn't believe it so I go several shows on dvd and they too were terrible. You're not a good band if you can't play live. Granted I watched concerts in the last 7 years, so maybe they could play live in the earlier days and just got sloppy since then.
How about we have a really metal band as an option?
