Love at first sight
For those of you who don't know its the belief of you following in love with a person at the first site of them. I'm curious to know everyones opinion on this. Myself personally believe its none other then just a physical attraction.

Yep I believe it's physical attraction and lust.
Falling in love with a glance is over rated.
You have to get to know the person first.
#3
I believe it's simply a lust that could later be turned into love as you get to know the person.

I do believe that there is lost at first site.
It might be hard to find that person but maybe one day you will find him/her.

I'm of the opinion love is a choice we make. There is nothing more to it. You elect to love and then you continue to do so or you do not. If you wish to love at first sight you may. Of course something must draw you to that person as you aren't going around electing to love strangers for no reason.
If you go around looking for magic feeling to tell you you're in love you'll never have a lasting relationship. You have to make the warm fuzzies for one another, otherwise they are fleeting and will not last.
So yeah, love at first sight can happen.

There's two parts to this story. Of course a lot is physical attraction, but there is also a psychological phenomenon where you can like someone at first sight because they have mental characteristics that you are subconsciously attracted to. For example, a woman who had an abusive father is more likely to be in an abusive relationship; unknowingly, she will be attracted at first sight to men who are abusive. I'm not sure that anyone has quite figured out how this is possible, but it happens. Common other examples are being attracted to married persons, addicts, people with mental characteristics such as depression or bipolar disorder, etc., etc. Things you wouldn't be able to tell by looking at them - at least, consciously. I think love at first sight involves a mix of physical attraction and said phenomenon.

I've also read something along the lines of this stating that sub-consciously you are more attracted to someone who is more like one of your parents. Or that have some of the same characteristics as them.

I dont believe in that anymore.
It is mostly lust that we feel. When we see someone hot, we want to hug them and kiss them, but when you see someone hotter you move on.
Love, however, you dont move on. When you love truly someone, you will love them till death. That's what i believe.
I had to find this out by myself.

love is difficult to explain. for everything that love is, it is also not. love is easy to explain to if you have never been in love. if you have been in love or are in love, you cant explain it.

love at first site is doubtful. people stay togther for years andd yet do not know what love is, or if they are even in love. love is more difficult to understand and keep under your belt than simply looking at someone and deciding that you are in love. there is no love at first sight, just lust that is being masked by hormones.

My opinion on "love at first sight" is it may have something to do with being psychic, in an odd sense. There are alot of cases of love at first sight where the couple went on and lived happily ever after, perfect for each other. I think there is just something our body can sense when that person is near is. Almost like a soul mate thing, but not quite.

I do believe theirs an actual word for that though I can't recall.
But it's just a fake love kinda thing, like everyone said it's just a physical attraction.
Love at first sight is nothing but a Hollywood movie

I don't believe in it. I'm too busy for love.

you're never too busy for love. thats wrong to say. there is always time for love. love is not a chore or something to wait for or to be too busy for.

there is always time for love.

Love at first site is not believable...Im sick of these movies where stuff like that happens...its unrealistic...You have to know a person before you love them
