Mosque Near Ground Zero

I don't mind it cause im also Muslim but not really religious.

There are already mosque closer to ground zero than the proposed one. Its stupid. Islam didn't attack the US, a crazy sect of extremist lead by a angry rich guy did. People need to get over it. But the fact Obama is a media pariah and commenting on this is stupider still.

Agree with the above.. how people can't distinguish between the everyday muslim and the extremists is crazy. Oh and Bloombergs response was pretty cool and moving.

I agree with both and they will never be Muslims if they do that they are just bitchs.

They have a right to build there. The question is: Is it right?

They claim to forge long-lasting peace, yet they're generating nothing but controversy.

I agree that they do have a right to build there and worship. However, their will always be those people who take things one step too far. If the mosque is built, it is conceivable that because of the previous contraversy surrounding its construction, there will still be continued protests and most likely violence.

It's only going to be burned down and will cause more tension than there already is.

Some consider it highly offensive, due to 9/11,
i dont think much of it. I would rather them build it somewhere else,
but i dont think my opinion matters enough to deal with that
hassel. I mean, terrorists from Islam did destroy the twin towers,
but it was not Islam that destroyed them. Terrorists. Not all
of the people that are islamic are terrorists.
I mean thats like saying, a christian does something really bad like murder
a islamic person, and the islams shun all christians for it.
This has happened, and they still dont point the finger at all christians.
They seem to be more mature than americans, and i respect them non-terrorist muslims.
