I believe that movies do have an effect on people. of course the only time a good effect is reported is when they do something drastic. and the only time influences on people are shown is when a movie drives them to do something retarded.
I agree with Soul. I think they do have a big influence on a lot of people, but there are just as much that have messages and symbolism, so I believe in a way they're a great source of learning life lessons also.
Movie have a huge impact on us. There is so much product advertisement and subliminal messages(used loosely here). Over all I think movies have had both positive and negative effects on society. Mostly negative. Originally movies had stories and characters and carried messages that were good and worth learning now most movies re either explosions or Pineapple Express. I mean movies just went to hell in a hand basket quality wise. Now all we do is rehash our terrible crap from ten years ago or rehash a good movie and ruin it.
I believe that people who are stupid enough to be influenced by Movies(which are fake setup situations)are stupid...Movies are for entertainment and thats all their for...Don't let DVDs influence your personality thats all I have to say...Its like blaming GTA for violence among kids...
