"President Obama has decided that there will no longer be a"National Day of Prayer" held in May. He doesn't want to offend anybody. Where was his concern about offending Christians last January when he allowed the Muslims to hold a day of prayer on the capitol grounds? As a Christian American, "I AM OFFENDED!!!" If you agree, copy and paste no matter what religion you are."

Obama's secretly a terrorist! No but either way I don't think any sort of prayers should be held on the capitals grounds. No matter what religion. Still that seems kind of strange. :0
yea i agree. i mean i understand how its not right for one religion, whatever it may be, to be able to practice prayers and not another. but i think he should have thought this through a bit more.

Oh god church and state issues always piss me off. "We have to be sensitive to every faith except Christianity. We need to just trash Christianity." is basically what pc religious tolerance is.
In all seriousness I'm waiting for a Christian group to take a case to court and have either every religious thing wiped out publicly or the christian practices allowed back in public places.

I vote for everything religious to be wiped out publicly. Personally I like the idea of separation of church and state. Especially to the point where no one plays favorites when it comes to those things. x.x

I don't see why we can't just be civil about it and let people practice their faith publicly. Its not offensive if everyone is allowed to, but all we currently do is favorite everything that is non christian and make christian out as offensive.

Honestly I don't really care myself either way if people pray in public or do what ever. As long as they're cool about it and aren't being violent or crazy I don't really mind. I just know it will cause less arguments if religion is not favored either way.
I've put the forum in archive mode - keeping basic chat here in case people drop by with a message. If anybody is still around happy to talk about building a small new little community, otherwise will just leave it archived.
