Vatican: Half of accused priests not prosecuted

Catholic Church officials never prosecuted more than half the roughly 3,000 priests accused of sexual impropriety in the past decade, a top Vatican official has revealed.

That's because there is no evidence in a whole lot of the cases. Yes there were some cases but like all scandals this turned into a witch hunt where everyone and their mother was molested by a priest. So is makes sense that they took cases that had evidence of a priest confess to it and the others were just relocated or removed from service.
