So, I'm going to cut down on my sugar for a month
I saw a post on Reddit where a guy cut down on his sugar and lost 10 pounds in a month. I kinda stepped back and looked at my diet and realized it was sugary as fuck. I've been able to do fine so far, except for the not drinking pop side of it. Anyone know of a non-sugary type of pop? something like sparkling juice or something?

You could always go with a zero calorie soda. Like pepsi max is pretty darn good for being a "diet" soda.
As for other options check out your water section. Most the time they'll have flavored but unsweetened or lightly sweetened fizzy water.

Ooh that's a good idea, those flavored waters are great.

Another awesome idea, I should go buy some. I actually just ran out.

I used to drink so much water and tea that my urine was completely clear.

Yeah, I drink a fuckton of water, like four or five water bottles worth a day. I've never gotten to that point though, haha. Happens occasionally though.

No amount of water causes your urine to turn red.

I only recently adopted drinking water. I've done no caffeine for a while, so soda hasn't been a problem. I drank a lot of aspertame for a long time though, but I don't think long enough to risk any potential health downsides (considering my diet considered of no other drinks except alcohol, it was probably an unhealthy amount of aspertame).

But, water now. If you aren't giving up soda entirely, switch to diet. And force yourself to stick with it. The tastes reverse such that diet tastes good and non-diet tastes bad. True story. It really does. So just don't stop under any circumstance until that happens. Because it will.

Same goes for any new drink you adopt. Water, even. The more you drink, the easier it becomes to handle regularly.

If you're trying to lose weight while drinking any beverage, drink it while it is cold. Your body warming up the drink after you drink it burns calories. Doesn't have to be without sugar! >: )

Keep the sugar and lose the weight! : DD

Also take into account saturated and unsaturated fats.

Unfortunately, while I know the difference and even the chemical reason why one is healthier than the other, I have never been able to get the name right for which is which. So fuck all if I could tell you which is the better one. Google can probably tell you. Or someone else here. It's pretty common knowledge, I think. But it's worth knowing that it's not just some old wives' tale.

Unsaturated and saturated fats are rather good for you because they help lower cholesterol. Trans fats are the ones that cause blockage in your blood vessels. : P

This isn't true at all. Drinking cold drinks makes your stomach shrink so you eat less and feel full on less; compare your stomach to your balls. Balls get cold, the skin shrinks. Same idea here. It has nothing to do with forcing your body to warm up.

Pop sugar isn't bad over all. But drink the right kind. Any Sprite type of drink is better then a Coke product. Infact some of the drinks you drink that are't pop have most of the same stuff as the bad kind of pop.

In fact complex sugars, so, most sodas in general are bad. Stick to water and tea. Water will help you stay hydrated the right way and help flush your system a little bit. The tea, if you can help it should be either black, white or green tea for the anti-oxidants. It will help clean you out a little more. Yes, you will piss a lot, but thats the shit coming out of your system.

Fact, you can keep sugars, and lose weight, but soda sugar isn't that kind of sugars.

The only healthy fat that is out there that can help you regulate your metabolism is mono-unsaturated fats. The only good fats that are out there come from fruits like avacado. Other than that. No real such thing as good saturated fats.

Keep in mind none of this will matter if you are't working out. If you aren't working out and eating right, then you're just gonna stay in the same spot. If you want a good meal plan example, follow the meal examples on this link.

One of them is broken down more than the other such that it requires less energy to break down the rest of it, meaning the net calorie gain is higher. I mean, it's still fat and not vitamins, but one is still better than the other.
