an instant messenger or chatbox on the site sounds like fun

Nooooo, it takes away activity from the forum, slows users computers(can anyways), takes up way to much server resources.

I hate chat boxes. They always get spammed and they severally take away forum activity.

Yep. This was talked about in the old LG. :p That's why users have MSN. :p
