It might be beneficial. Post count disabled would have to be the only catch, since it would be abused. And it doesn't need to have post count enabled for someone to get help.

Incessant questions, questions being asked over and over again. And the fact is, giving and recieving help shouldn't increase your post count, only your knowledge of the site.
