I don't have a DS but I do have a DSi, 3DS, and 3DS XL. As for Pokemon games I have HG and Black 1.

Maybe Ill invest in a DS finally if we get this going Maybe brackets for LGG?

I've already got a few ideas for PokeMMO

Reppin the cool kids without a DS.

It'd work because it's got the first 3 Gens and the EVs/IVs are still just as effective, with implemented features from every game (nature, items, etc.)
And it's free and PC/Mac compatible

I have to original "Platinum and Black" colored DS'. Both have cracked top screens, one a broken hinge. I also have a black DSi, which I can't find at the moment. I've been planning on trading it in for a 3DS. Besides that, two Gameboy Pockets, one green that isn't broken but my idiot friend tried to paint the buttons, and one black one that's broken. A Kiwi green Gameboy Color, I use it to play my Gameboy Color games that the Pocket can't play. I also have a clear-blue Gameboy Advance that I use sometimes, and a silver Gameboy Advance SP.

Most online communities follow smogon rules. Which means pretty much any pokemon besides the ones list: Uber (B/W) - Smogon University

Some weaker legendaries are allowed such as Celebi

Yeah, I was in one where certain items were banned and your team had to be examined ahead of time as well.

I could give two fucks about Legendaries.

If someone's using them you've still got just an advantage over them as you would any other Pokemon if you play your cards right and train well.

Why don't we use:
Pokemon Showdown!

That way who ever doesn't have a 3DS can also play.
It's a battle simulator. Nothing more.
So no need to catch them, no need to grind, you don't even need to download it and ANYONE can build a team.
Seriously all you need to do is choose "Play" and make your team.
Then I figure we give each other our LG names.
Plus you can also post a recorded version of the battle so anyone else can see.
That way we know whn what and how well ect.



ALSO HOSTING IT ON POKEMONMMO IS DERPY SINCE YOU CAN ONLY USE POKEMON UP TO THIRD GEN.
Plus you have to actually replay Fire Red/Leaf Green. So we can't just like start battles right away.
And we'd be limited to what pokemon are in those games which doesn't even include all of the pokemon up to third gen.
In fact it only has 214 catch-able pokemon. Which isn't taking in to consideration the fact that some of those aren't obtainable. And subtracting version exclusives.
Aside from when Pokemon MMO has special events giving away a pokemon.

This is also takes place using super old mechanics, old abilities, ect. Since it's based around the fire red engine.

Also Smogon does tiers. Uber pokemon can still be used in Uber.

I think a Pokemon forum mod would be able to do a really great job of organizing this, and I'd love to see it started. But I also don't want to increase the mod-user ratio any higher.

But if you guys want to do the work for making the information threads and game results and whatever, I can endorse them with stickies/locks/etc.

And if Pokemon is kept after this month, it and Gaia will be the next two forums to get moderation appointments, so this would be a good chance to show your dedication to the forum. I'll surely back anyone in the nominations who puts forth the effort of running this.
