I just installed Windows 7, and I have to say it's the apocalypse because I actually upgraded from XP. I thought it'd be a disappointment like Vista, but I'm glad I gave it a go.

It is kinda nice too how they updated to make it more like mac slightly (The new quick launch taskbar and how it displays in the actual taskbar).

I'm pretty sure you're going to need to make use of a Windows 7 Activator. IIRC you need to flash your bios or something to make the windows update think that you're running a legit copy of 7, and trust me, it's the better option to have windows update for 7 for the next few revisions of it. Since it's a newer OS, there could be devastating results should you not update.
