Programmer?

Hey how long do you think it takes to become an expert programmer? I want to be one of the best but I still have a long way to go. Does anyone know any helpful sites that might help me become a better one? I know somethings but others I could use a guide with... Normally I wouldn't think of asking such a thing but I gotta get a thing done asap. I won't be able to take a course on any of this kind of stuff for a few monthes so i gotta find a good site.

Well what are you most interested in creating with your knowledge? What's your "root of interest"?

Probably better if you give us a specific language you want to learn.

Or if you're not sure on the language, let us know what you want to make, so we can suggest the best one for you.

Years. It takes years to be adequate, then years to be expert. Maybe 5 to 6? Depends on what you plan on learning.
