I'm learning a new song on my guitar, but am too lazy to choose.
I got the intro the The Day That Never Comes down (the clean, and then both distorted parts at once), so, should i continue that, or try something else?
I can list songs i can play if it'll help judge my skill level.
Solo and lead parts aren't useful if you're playing solo since you have to play the rhythm/backing for anyone but you to enjoy it.
Plus learning backing/rhythm helps with lead playing later.
You have to do what keeps you interested. You should work on several things at a time. Scales, chords, riffs, technique, and songs.
Pentatonic Box.
Look it up. Basically all of rock evolved from it an power chords.
You have to learn the neck and scales to get better.
Just search "insert song name riff".
Typically if you look up a song, say Sunshine Of Your Love on Ultimate Guitar then the riff is usually in the tab and labeled as such.
