Sos how's yous guys alls doings?
I've been going through some real ups and downs for the last several months. My life is about to start a new dramatic chapter where I cut all ties with my past and move to DC and get a Masters degree and all kinds of fun stuff.

Wow. Good luck with the masters. I've been thinking about going back to school for one. IDK if i could move somewhere new on my own like that.

In other news i have a new gf.

Congratulations to you both! I'd love to move somewhere new and just start fresh.

I'm currently in the process of buying my first home which has been pretty cool and we're about to launch a new product at work. Needless to say everything is a bit stressful at the moment but I'm sure it will be worth it.

I mean I'm going into debt to do it, should be worth it long term.
Me too.

Yeah, should all be worth it after this week is over but right now I'm just in a constant state of stress. Out of interest what's the reason for wanting to cut ties? If you're willing to share of course.

Oh cyan, I recently had an opportunity to buy a house fall through too. Not much more adult than that, good luck! It was very exciting but also scary.

Well that sucks I hope it didn't put you off the idea.

It's been annoying because I've been waiting since January because I needed to wait for the end of the tax year to get a decent enough mortgage and typically there were some really nice properties back than while I didn't have enough but now that I do there nothing decent which is just my luck. They're restoring a warehouse in the Docks of my city into luxury apartments and the showrooms for it look stunning. I'm hoping I can get my hands on one of them though I imagine they will be extortionately priced. I just can't wait to get the ball rolling :D

A series of unfortunate events, I suppose. A year and a half ago I was on top of the world. I had started teaching part time, had another cushy part time job that became flu time as a manager, had a girlfriend I was madly in love with and wanted to marry, had a new place I loved, lots of friends, good money, etc. Come January things have just sort of gone down hill. I was about to start applying for grad school and told I couldn't get in, my girlfriend suddenly left me, most of my friends moved, I got laid off, my grandmother just went into the hospital. My friend put it best the other day "And so Coffin is dealt another losing hand in life."
I mean I still have my shit together, I'm in good health, I got accepted into blood Georgetown among other top schools in my field so the bit about not being able to get in was bullcrap, I have enough money to get through a year of school with no real debt. I have a new very supportive girlfriend, who is very understanding about how torn up I am over the last one, so on and so forth. My biggest challenge at the moment in my mind is: finishing a legacy game with my friends before I move and finding a place to move before classes start.

Well I'm not going to lie, that's pretty sucky. I'm glad everything is going better for you now.

What kind of game are you working on?
