just a point of advice never upgrade because usually upgrades fuck up the phone.

no like a software update 9/10 times the default software up there is better off than getting the update i had high end androids and low end ones usually updates fucked them up and slow them down and other things.

yep never upgrade the OS version until its very very stable.
i did it when i got my nexus 7 and upgraded it and it messed up my wifi and tilt software had to downgrade.
