Feel like you haven't found your place in life?

I think a lot of our generation gets that feeling.

I think our generation is just egotistical and pessimistic. Though I also feel like the "Greatest Generation" might have been more egotistic.

Very pessimistic which is frustrating imo and if you think about it, just about every generation has a massively large population of narcissistic jerkwards. Time doesn't really change anything.

I think the main cause why we question our purpose or haven't found our "place" is because the world is so much more broader than before. Which in turn makes us contemplate what the hell we're going to do even longer.

Yes, I believe I use to always feel like that.
Like I was just slowly wandering onward while I watched people walk, run, or fly by.

I've always been jealous of those passionately knowing what exactly it is they want to do.
Even if they change their passions from time to time, at least they're passionate about something.

I'm okay with just trudging on, as long as I am moving along somehow and not sinking into an abyss of nothingness as time continues to rot me.

Read about the hedonic treadmill, it's pretty interesting.
