Oh god, what's happened to me. I used to get ~120 WPM on my old keyboard, and now I can only get ~99 on the crappy keyboard I use now. Let me re-try this test on my laptop lol.
I don't even home row. I type with one finger unless I'm gaming with hotkeys.
The thing about these tests are that they limit speed based on the fact I have to keep track of what's on the screen. I have to look up and register a few words at a time and then type. I can probably type twice as fast if I don't have to look away from the keys.

Learn to home row. Learn to never look at your keyboard. It helps you game better aswell.
I never look at my keyboard, but I've been severely limited recently, not sure what. I used to get a solid 120+ WPM, and I dipped down to 104. Time to switch to DVORAK instead of QWERTY. It's funny, QWERTY was actually developed to slow us down as typers, because with DVORAK people were typing so fast on typewriters that the keys would get jammed.

Your max isn't the same as your average. I hit 120gwam when I was in junior high, so at least nine years ago. But when I tried a few years after, I couldn't hit it reliably. It was just my max I could hit at the time if I tried really hard and got a little lucky.

Even my sister types faster than me :/. My two fingers for typing and thumbs for spacebar method has failed me.
I am always so confused when I remember people type with two fingers. That is just crazy.
