God damn I hate being the techie in a family
Spent what little free time I had this weekend fixing my dad's computer.

Shitbutt. That thing is like 50 years old. It was my old computer. The one I originally browsed LG on, so that was 5 years ago. And I had it years before that, as it was outdated when I viewed LG on it, which is why I got this laptop.

SO LIKE SLOWER THAN YOU CAN EVEN IMAGINE

It was like "open Chrome," and then I'd play a bit of TF2 on my laptop, and then Chrome would open. Rinse, repeat, for everything I wanted to do.

Whatever. Shit's getting done. Free time incoming!

Just say "Fuck you, but a new computer, it's old as shit". That's what I did and my parents don't bug me about tech stuff anymore :)

You can find some really nice ones for like $200-300, ones that would solve what your parents need.

I know your pain.
What's better is when they fuck that shit up to a point where you can't even begin to figure out how they managed to do it and then while you work on it they attempt to inform you about technology.

I eventually had to uninstall/reinstall Chrome. Still didn't work, so I just rebooted, and now it works flawlessly.
