Women, why do you

Women, why do you
ask for advice and then promptly disregard what men tell you?
Girl tweeks her knee at work, it swells up and turns black and blue. I tell her how to treat it and that she needs to stay off it for three days and then if its not better to see a doctor. She says she won't go to a doctor, she's going to her retail job tomorrow, ignores half of treatment. :EmoteWaitWhat:

I think if any retail employee called out 3 days in a row before going to the doctor, they'd be terminated.
Maybe her worries about her job are clouding her judgment.

Not really. They are self-aware. Spiders are simple.

They're simple because you can train them to obey, unlike people.

Well being trained to obey is awful, you have at least the liberty of choice, Can't take that too from people.

What? Dogs don't care.

Talking about people there.

People can be trained to obey, and choice is an illusion.

There is an entire field of psychology dedicated to making people behave how you want them to. It's very successful. Operant conditioning FTW.

Prove choice is an illusion. Operant conditioning is rewarding behavior you want via giving people things they want/ stimulating them. Is that controlling behavior or truly manipulative? I mean if you say if you wear a red shirt every other day, I'll give you money I'd be on board. I don't think that's you controlling my behavior, even if you don't inform me of the deal.
Obviously people can be influenced but I doubt that choice does not exist.
There is no point arguing with me. I'm a duelist, I'll a appeal to "mysticism", you'll pull occam's razor, I counter with the reason argument nd a essay about quantum mechanics and the effects observers have on reality, you'll disagree, we'll go back and forth, and everyone will go away aggravated.

New studies show they aren't so much trained as learning to communicate. Evidence indicates that they could be taught like apes to understand sign language. Also they apparently have emotions and have an understanding of and feel love.

She sent me a picture of her knee its obviously fucked up. I had a retail jobs in the past and I'm pretty sure that if you're actually inured or ill you ought to be able to get sick days.

You're asking me to explain an entire field of psychology in a forum post.
Take a class on it.

No, because I'm not retarded. Philosophy is unproven speculation, and I prefer objective, reproducible, measurable, testable science. Feel free to google it, but I'm surely not wasting my time teaching something someone doesn't want to learn, and especially something so vast in amount. If an college degree could be taught on a forum, we wouldn't have colleges. The information is out there if you want to find it, and I don't go along with the "if you don't show me it, I'll pretend it doesn't exist" route. If someone plays that card, they don't really want to know; and if they don't really want to know, no amount of evidence presented will change their opinion.

Already did. Several in both fields(psychology and philosophy) to be exact. I'm open to new information, but I don't believe you have any I haven't seen.

Take Behavior Modification. To go a bit extra in-depth, take Psychology of Learning on top of it.

True, but this seems a systematic behavior across the gender based on my experience. I think it might be due to the fact I'm not female that my advice is disregarded. Considering these situations always lead o an "I told you so" moment you think they'd figure out listening would be helpful to them.

I've read enough Skinner and Incompatiblist text in conjunction with experiments regarding the source or thought in the physical realm. Plus I graduate at the end of the semester.

I love women who are against sex equality, cause they don't need it to manipulate men, only idiotic lesbians want that. A woman that submits herself is way sexier than a hopeless bitch that plays the rights and wrongs >:)
