Actually the real number is 616, we just couldn't didn't read it right when it was translated.
Revelations is just a coded form of the Roman Catholic mass with in a story of good vs evil in which good triumphs. It was meant to inspire faith and allow missionaries to teach people how to preform the mass regardless of persecution.
