Ever build a model?

Like the gundam ones they used to sell everywhere but now you can find?
Found them on amazon the other day. Ordered some and now I'm fucking stoked for them to get here. Used to love building that shit while I watched Toonami. The good Toonami, the one with Tenchi, Cyborg 009, Rurouni Kenshin, Yu Yu Hakuso, Dragon Ball Z, Gundam Wing, Outlaw Star, Voltron, Robotech, ect.
You kids remember IGPX? I loved that show, bought that yesterday as well, along with FLCL and every Miyazaki movie ever. Pretty excited even though I'm broke.

Any way, I have to buy some paint and such for models. Any one got some suggestions for brands or technical approaches?

I remember building a Gundam toy a while back. Took a hell of a long time XD

Then later on in the years, I quite enjoyed building and collecting those Bionic things made from the company Lego.

Enamel paints in varied colors, the same stuff they use on car models. I like the look that it gives.

buiilt almost every gundam released, even the limited edition endless walkz modles which were 25$ each then i quit one day for unknown reasons and started building nitromethane powered remotecontrolled cars

Pretty average day with one of these, He was just the only one stupid enough to do it and risk his 600$ investment.

Gundams were pretty fun to build. I have an urge to collect some anime figurines XD

I remember always wanted to get one of those Gundam figures and paint it. D:
But! Talking about collecting things, these bad boys.

if this thread is being hijacked to become a collection thread, I used to like sonic the hedgehog comics as a kid~

I had loads of those little figure things.

I also collected some warhammer figurines, painted them and got bored of them in a week xD

I only collected Crazy Bones, but that is a pretty sweet collection of Sonic comics!
Save them for a good 10 years and I am sure you could make a good few grand.

So I was looking at the Endless Waltz Gundam models, a Wing Zero Custom I have is worth $100. Day made.

Actually I never did. To busy fan girling over Raven at the time. Lol
I started the models when Zoids: New Century came out though.
Always thought it was strange they aired New Century before Chaotic Century. Even though Chaotic Century came out first.

Thats why I never watched starwars.

Built quite a few back when I was still on hobbyfanatic. Get yourself an airbrush if you dont have one. It changed my life when I switched from hand painting to airbrushing. Also when they told me the stuff for wooden floors can be used to give painted models a mirror like shine.

I Built Zoids, I have two legit models and then like 6 of those cube ones.
I also built some medabots if any one remembers those, two very shit yugioh models, an AT-ST, and an AT-AT(legos, stupid ass things was hard as fuck to build) .
