General gaming question

If you want lag free, good quality gaming, get with your ISP and see what you have to do to get 5mbp/s. Chances are you don't and that's why you want a good router. Honestly though, a Belkin router is great. I have the e3000, and it's pretty nice. Get the e2000 though. I think it's around $90.

Internets fine, more than fine. my router isnt exactly what you call "compatible" with my xbox, so i have a strict nat type which gets in the way a lot.
You can fix that by going to the dashboard and over to you connection settings menu and just testing your current connection. If that doesn't work, you need to do some port forwarding. Isn't hard as people say. I can help you over TV if you want.
But Belkin e3000 is great, e2000 is great also. Good thing to go with.

ive tried everything bro, sometimes it'll work but then not work 10 minutes later.
ive tried port forwording, port triggering, testing my xbl connection. using my direct ip settings. none of it works.

A new router won't necessarily fix everything here. Contact ISP, and complain. You claim you internet is fine, but trying contacting the ISP. Sometimes when you act all pissed, they will offer boost. It really depends. Good luck fixing it though.
