Photo Challenge
I've made up my mind to take one picture a day to strike up creativity.
I haven't got a theme for this month yet, but I'm thinking red. :P

See that shows me that you didn't do that much. No offense, but when I originally saw, I thought you did the fire edit, and the smokes on the ground. I thought you edited all that shit in. That's why I like seeing the original.

(not saying you did a bad job, just saying that I originally thought you did more)

Oh, haha nah just some burning dodging, messing with curves and cropping. I honestly prefer just taking the picture and being able to post it with minimal editing, besides the needed.
Otherwise feels like I'm sort of cheating. :P

You're just making the picture stand out better, not editing the content. I have a habit of editing content, to make shit look cooler than it is. Usually it fails on my part though...

That shows you have a creative mind though. I can't create things to save my life, only work off of something already existing.
Probably because I'm too much of a perfectionist when it comes down to it.
That and I have a rough time making any sort of decisions.

I don't see any reason why you would edit it all that much. The photo by itself seems fairly creative to me.

And I find cropping draws the attention towards the subject more rather than the empty ground around it.

Why not just blur the space around the one you want to draw attention to.

Because there's still too much open space, when you first look at the photo your eye doesn't go straight towards the main subject but around it.

Edit: It would have worked with this particular photo, but I'm still pretty set on the way I have it now; albeit it's a tad dark.

I edited my girlfriend's tongue and people say it looks like a... well, vagina. Didn't even mean to :P.

The less editing the better, especially for these daily photo challenges. Find something beautiful/thought provoking in this world and capture it. If you find the need to photoshop it to death then it isn't beautiful enough to be captured in the first place.

Well her tongue wasn't that attractive anyways(kidding)

I normally don't edit much... In fact, I haven't even installed(stolen) Photoshop onto my laptop yet...

I haven't found the need to photoshop anything to the hilt, but I believe it captures attention more than the first one, as it's contrast is too light.
I think I'll stick with the idea of posting the original and edited.
There'll be another one tonight.

I love it. It's a great picture, and the message is fantastic.
The one thing I would have done different, was to have gotten lower on the bottom left hand corner, so you see a big journal burning with the message, but it's in contrast with the rest of the world in the back which is blurry.
The journal would look bigger and make the message that much more abrupt and important. Plus, contrasting the chaos of the burning Journal against the soft atmosphere of the background really sets an impact on the mind, and demonstrates how we can have something this chaotic in something so calmly maintained.
Sort of like this.

That's a great idea, I really appreciate your input.
The thing was I wanted to get a pov from the bottom corner sort of looking up, but I didn't have much space to work with as it was on my balcony.\
It was also nearly sunset so I just threw it together best I could. But hey learning is all part of the challenge. :D

Day 2 is up. Was indoors allday so only managed to get this.

lol that's usually when I just like..sit awkwardly out of the way of the shot, and put the camera on the ground to get the shot.
