What can you do with a jtag that you cant do with a softmod? And vice versa.

Yes but if your smart you get money everytime you use it or some people get away with it all the time

You can brag about how your XBox is JTagged, you can host 10th Prestige Lobbies, you can get free games and software. Lots of stuff.
