In class today...
My instructor made us cut a whole potato... blindfolded. Funny how today was the only day in this lab that I didn't cut my hand :3

Then he made us turn left, and take our blindfolds off. By then we realized there were about 25 people staring into the window watching us.

It's actually quite easy to do. Don't pick the knife off the cutting board, curve your fingers in, and let the blade's side be guided by your index & middle finger's knuckles while pushing the potato forward with your thumb. Oh and don't worry about being cut. >.>;

I've managed to cut myself on the hand I use with a peeler while cleaning it. Apparently I made it into the school's book of shame on that one >.>;

Er... Being blindfolded while cutting things with a knife does not equal being careful.

It wasn't like he forced you too, and we started off slowly with the knife's in their covers so people can get the feel of it. I mean you would have to be a real fucking dumbass to have cut off a finger.
