The truths that are self-evident are only so as we make them so as based up the beliefs set forth by the Enlightenment thinkers in the earlier ages of their namesake, the Enlightenment Period. As is set by John Locke, freedom of religion, life, liberty, pursuit of happiness/land. Montesquieu, separation of powers, and Despault.
