iTouch info/help?

So, I'm getting an iTouch in the mail tomorrow. Need some info, due to I've never had one before, and never really messed with them...

It gets internet on it's own, but how does it connect? Does it automatically pick up the signel, or do you have to tell it?

How do you get games, and are they free?

The internet works via wifi. In other words, it connects the same way a laptop would. You need a wireless router in your house to connect at home (You could also jack net from the neighbors).
As for games, i don't know. If the app store offers free games, you can get them. If not, you could always jailbreak your iTouch and get 3rd party apps.
By default, you cannot have 3rd party apps on your iTouch.
As usual, companies are greedy. Apple is obviously no exception.

I know my parent's Windows Vista laptop has to connect via putting the address in, but does this?

No it doesnt.

To any network? Like, if I walk into McDonalds(which offers free wifi), will it be connected when I pull it out of my pocket?

No. It will ask for unfamiliar networks.

Ipod Touch - Wifi Network
Iphone - Wifi / Phone service.

There will be an app called 'App store'. Download from there. Some are free, others cost money...

Anything else, you should find in the user guide on your ipod's bookmark.
