well since most phones come with tracking and location detecting, I'd say that was pretty dumb o.<
If you really want to do something with it, give it back. A lot of people have the phones contact information anyway, and they'll try calling/tracing it if they can't find it. Then you've got some explaining to do.
Well I am in the same area that it was stolen and I plan on stashing it here. Or selling it or dumping it in the ocean or setting it on fire or something. I can get rid of it but I would want to do stuff with it first and anyways it's a 8th graders fun and he will probably wait a few days to tell his parents he lost it so he doesn't get in trouble.

I don't think they can legally do that; but i do think they can ban your account because its baught with stolen money essentially.
