Ha see. it's not a virus, but you know how when windows starts up it has the bar thing that loads. my laptop just stays there and keeps loading

No, his computer is hanging while load a a .dll. So it just freezes at the boot screen. I attempted to help him fix it, but he couldn't figure out how to boot into safe mode.

I tried explaining how to boot into safe mode to him before, but something about spamming f2 or f8 or f12 makes it difficult.
