You need to learn a Ywngve lick and play that then go into marry had a little lamb.
Blue Oyster Cult is classy, I need to learn Reaper and the Vader.
I used to know Sweet Child...now I want to play it. Curse you.

I've been playing By The Sword, want to get the solo down. Bought a shredder backing track cd the other day, more tracks in drop d than I care for but I'm digging it so far, makes me sound so pro.

My standard "You play guitar. Now Play us something." is my version of the Star Spangled Banner with improv bits and Zeppelin and Sabbath licks sprinkled in it.

Yngwie is like 80% sweeps, and I think they're a cheap way of sounding fast.

Maybe the Eruption tapping solo, then Mary Had a Little Lamb?

Well how else are you gonna play them arpeggios?

Go for it. I've never felt the need to learn Eruption, I'm not Eddie and I don't have a whammy bar so I'll never get those sounds right.

My instructor taught it to me on my 3rd day to explain hammer-ons and pull-offs.

Also, because he loves playing it.

Arpeggios are atleast a year away at the moment.

Yes it does.
Arpeggios are a pain, awesome but a pain.
You always sweep them it seems and I'm not a fan of it. I'd rather just be that fast.

Go Hendrix and get feedback going and do some crazy bends and blues improv for a minute. Dress the part too.
