An Intro, by Cyan
How do you do, guys?
I'm bad with introductions.
But call me Cyan.

Alright, stay with me, I can do this intro somewhat decently.
As I've said, I'm Cyan, and I've been a Gaian since '06....
I'm a programming major with a mindset to learn more than what I know already.

Nice to meet you all.

What languages are you going toward with your major?

And how did you find us?
#3
I've been getting into C and Python a lot recently, but that's about it. I may pick up Ruby as well as I'd like to experiment with other languages. Hopefully I can get inspiration, as that is at a low for me.

And I found this site when I tried to find a way to make opening Gaia's Philosopher's cache easier. While I did not find one, I thought it'd be a good idea to join in.

Aha. Yeah. There is a Philosopher's Cache opener in LGaia, but atm it only opens caches found on page 1 of your inventory. If the cache opener does not work for you, go to the inventory reorganizer and move them to the top of the list.

The opener that supports multiple pages is still in development.

Welcome to LG, I'm a big fan of python for scripting.
#6
Ruby is a beautiful language I was learning it before I lost everything and had to start fresh. I think I'm gonna pick it up after web development for a bit.

Welcome to LG, hope you stay.

Hello. Welcome to LG. Please do try and stick around.

But for some reason I think you'll find it hard as we have a handful of annoying members. Other than that the site is pretty quaint & nice, though.

I'll have to wait then because I've just installed the extension but the LG button isn't appearing despite my following the simple instructions. How weird.

Yeah, python has been interesting for me, and a big break as I don't have to worry about semicolons anymore. That, and being able to use an IDE again. Easier than using emacs.

Reads like you really enjoyed Ruby. It shouldn't be too hard to get into with prior experience, right?

Thanks for the welcome!

Looking around, I think I have seen some of the members you talk about. Hopefully contact is a minimum, but even if it isn't, it gets easy to not pay attention to them.

It's such a beautiful and powerful language, it's like Pythons beautiful twin. I have no memory of anything sadly as I've been outta this type of stuff for a few years sadly now. :/

Sorry, the directions in the Downloads page are outdated. The download location for the newest one is here: http://www.charlesstover.com/userscripts/gaiaonline/logical-gaia.user.js

Forum posts outside the Junkyard have stricter guidelines to prevent spam. If you want a professional setting, they'll suit your needs.

That will help. I've got it to work, but only for Chrome. Doesn't seem to like Firefox some reason.

I'll make sure it supports Firefox before the next major release. I am developing it in Chrome, so Chrome support will be best.
