Well so far i bought 3 Xbox 360s 2 are wasted and 1 is currently working which is the MW2 Xbox 360.

My first xbox360 I have ever owned is still working today. It got RROD but I sent it in and they fixed and and still works to this very day.
Iv bought 1. Had for like 3 years and nothing wrong. (KNOCK ON WOOD. )
I only sent my 360 (Arcade Edition) to Microsoft once. ;P

Btw you usually only get RROD when you have bad ventilation or something about humidity

Why would anybody buy another one instead of sending their old one in? That seems like a huge waste of money.

I had the same one for 3-4 whenever they first came and and is still working tell this day, but is console banned and I sold it like a week ago/
I bought 2 one I kept on the carpet in my room it lasted me oh id say 2 and a half years then it got majorly overheated because I left town for about a month or so and sometime during that month my little sister decided to turn it on and leave it on.....when i got come the case started caving in as if there was a dent in it or something and all the inside metal pieces were burnt I think it could have easily started a house fire

Yea...my 360 had the same fate as well it was at the carpet getting dust....plus i was playing everyday more than 13hours and got rrod eventually
1. Had for like 3-4 years now. Occasional freeze and have to rest, no rig as of yet. I bought on late enough though that I shouldn't ever get it. Considering I keep it on a shelf, dust regularly and don't pull 24 hour gaming marathons due to class and guitar I expect it will last for years.

But i think it was because i spent way too many hours straight on call of duty and fried all my internals. even towel trick wouldent work

I only had to send mine in once.
had to send mine in once but they covered it free and i got a year of xb live free so its all good. although it did take them like 4 damn months to get it back to me..

most of the time if you just unplug it as soon as it does it it will fix itself. but sometimes it does get permanent. but mines only done it once thankfully. if it does it again im just sticking to ps3
one Pro 60gb never once gotten it and i am running it 24/7 XD

Anyway, I've only had one 360. I've had nearly since release, and I've never gotten the RROD. I don't know whether to attribute this to good luck or divine intervention.
I've never had RROD, Well Sort of I have 1 red ring glowing so I unplugged my console and re-plugged it back in and it started working I was Like THANK FUCK FOR THAT! Lol
I didn't get the RROD buy ive had to replace a Xbox because the Yellow cord blue out...Don't buy shit from MadKatz thats all i got to say

0 Sent myne in for free and got a brand New one in return.
I bought 1, 3 months later my brother dropped it while attempting to move it to his bedroom, then I stole one from some dudes house party (elite) and I haven't had any problems with it since '08 ish.
I've never gotten a ROD, but my graphics card did burn out.
I got only 1, and it was as a gift.
I had to get 3, so I said fuck it. I might as well just buy a ps3
