Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment
Crunchyroll - "Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment" Hits Japan on April 24, 2014

Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment has plenty of new action in store for fans of the series, as players control Kirito and dive into the previously unexplored Hollow Area of the reborn Aincrad. It also now has a date, with a Japanese PS Vita release set for April 24, 2014.

Never actually seen the anime yet, my first impressions based on the fan base rendered it rather borish.
The game looks pretty promising, but would've been more immersive if they implemented the player as an original player from SAO that can be customizable.
Thus, making them feel that they can be the true protagonist in Kirito's stead.

Then again, perhaps I'm underestimating the Otaku's perception and powers of delusion.

Reminds me of the old dot hack games quite a bit.

It's disappointing that they chose vita as the release platform.

If you're going to watch I'd recommend the subs over the dubs.

Ah, dot hack.
I take it back, if it's on par with it, then having Kirito as the protagonist would work wonders.
I missed the G.U. trilogy, I might just re-play it because you reminded me of it.
(I married Endrance in the end :) )

Thanks for the recommendation, I'll be sure to check it out during winter break.
Maybe grab the game if I get into it.
