If I told you that you can effectively PM as almost anyone, would you be interested?

Well? What would you pay for something like this?
It's not as simple as it sounds, but very doable.

Implications:
Spread FLPs wider (Send FLP to friends of a user).
Revenge.
Showboating.

As you know, I don't use FLPs. I don't often showboat. I also don't usually look for revenge. I can't think of any way this could be useful to me. I've had it for a while now, and I figure it's about time to put it to use.

Edit: You would pay and then be allowed to request around 10 uses. More money for more uses. It takes a lot to setup a single usage, so 10 is actually quite a lot. What's your price?

I personally wouldn't pay for an exploit. The funny thing is though, earlier to do I was wondering if something like this was possible.

I meant for the service rather than the actual exploit. I'd charge X amount and a user can request like 10 uses in whatever way.

We had an exploit for this back in the old days of LG. It's very possible.

As for buying it ; ( 'x' uses for 'x' amount$ ) , I think you should sell the exploit as a whole. If you're using it for FLPs or spreading shit i don't think it'd be extremely effective cause for one, you're paying for it, for two, you only get limited PM's before you have to pay again. Also showboating should have no effect on your "virtual confidence" due to you paying for the service and in the end you still have no clue how it's actually done.

PS: I myself believe you found a way to do it but i would still like to see some proof.

Personally, I used to use the Dumpster Dive method of sending private messages non-stop before they removed it. I have no idea on how to do it now. I haven't been on gaiaonline in a month or two. It probably wont even be hard to find.

@XiRaX, the problem is that giving out the exploit would mean anyone who buys it would be able to end my profiting ability. Even if I required agreement to certain terms (meaning violating the terms is failure to hold up the customer's end of the deal [i.e. being a scammer], resulting in ban from LG), I wouldn't be satisfied that a ban would be sufficient consequence for a leak. A ban is a slap on the wrist for the majority of users (users with few posts, little reptutation, etc). If quiet enough, ban evasion should be easy.

Regarding proof, I won't be doing this until sometime after Oct. 12. I've got a pretty big project (with several sub-projects) that I'm trying to spend the majority of my time on. I'd rather not take the time to set this up until I have time to spare. In other words, rain check.

That's not even what this is about. Sending a PM as any user has nothing to do with sending PMs without a delay. "Probably won't even be hard to find"- this has been around for years. Literally years. This is why I always bash you. You don't sufficiently consider the situation at hand before throwing out your response. You should never be afraid to be wrong- this is how you learn, but you are wrong alarmingly often in situations where you have sufficient information.

I understand, i sold an exploit, shared it with friends and even got someone to make a program to automate the task at hand. In the end, the person i shared it with publically released it. The person who made the program (which happens to be LG's Developer) sold copies of the program after an agreement that he was not to distribute the exploit link, the program or source in any way. After that all happening within a 2 day span my exploit was patched. When it was just me with the exploit, I had it a good 2 to 3 weeks with to attention brought to it.

It's not quite that simple though. It's not really PM spoofing. It'd be extremely hard to send a PM as admin, but fairly easy (in theory) to do it as a mod. It varies, and, yes, I realize this sounds like bullshit. You'll just have to trust me (or someone who verifies it). No hurry anyway, I'm still busy for the next week at least.

When the user receives the pm, will it show the mods avatar as well?

Yes, it'll effectively be from the mod. There will be no perceptible difference.

If they're friends of the user, multiple recipients can be specified. I'm not aware of their being any limit on the total number, but I think there are 500 friends maximum.

Oh lord not this again. Once again for the lord who knows how many times, I never sold the program or the exploit link.
