You need to make the text more readable. It's good though just make it easier to read.

in the layers, set the text over the brick layer, then go to the text layer and look for a drop down box with a whole bunch of options like multipyl hard light soft light etc... there's a hard light somewhere in there.

It looked like Hard Light, Pin Light, or Color/Linear Dodge to me.
