Jack the Giant Slayer was shit.
Sub-par acting, standard rendition of giants, bad story pacing/arc, lazy scenery (using thunderstorms to mask the outside, cameras keeping angles so you didn't see too much of the surroundings)

4/10.

Especially when tickets are only 3 dollars at my local theater.

When I heard they were going to make an intense not-so-following-the-storyline movie about Jack and the Beanstalk, I knew it was going to suck.
It needs to be like the original.

Beautiful and Quaint with a dark violent twist

I agree with that. It costs me $8 for a ticket here, and that is with a student discount. It's really $10. Fucking hate AMC and Regal. The one where I used to live actually has a bloody bar in it. A bar! So I have to pay more for a ticket cause they thought it'd be a good idea to put a bar in the damn theater.
