My first monster sprite
I wanted to try and make my own sprite, so I did
I call him the trick box, because when he's provoked he extends his tentacles. and he's a box.

LESS BLURRY VERSION HERE
because it gets resized to fit
critique if you want to, or if you can.

Dude, that's really awesome.
I would have to say that's a very successful sprite!

Keep at it!

That's really good work :) Especially from scratch. The only thing I"d fix is the bottom tentacle, it doesn't look like it's matched up with the top.
But it's a great concept and I love the basic idea lol

Its all right, I like the dithering except you have 2 light sources. Also most of those wing things look messed up.

is this what you mean by the two light sources?

Also could you describe more how the tentacles are messed up? So I can make it look better
thanks

Sort of but more that the tentacle on the right has a different light source. And the tentacles look like they are each different sizes.

The one on the right looks like the same light source. The one on the left seems to be the odd one out. The light source seems to be to the top-right of the monster, which matches the top, bottom, back, and right (our perspective) fins.

The tentacles do look different lengths, but symmetry is less important in underwater species, so I think it's fitting. I mean, it's a total assumption that it's an aquatic monster, but that was my first impression.
