It seems a bit bland. Also text should flow with the rest of your signature; try to keep it out of corners.
It's not bad. could use some work. expirement with smudge brushing and the layer settings.

lol no, i use photo shop. but i have experience in gimp as well. seeming how it's the only photo editing program i can use when im on my laptop out of town. go ubuntu!
Photoshop and GIMP are near identical.
To be brutally honest, looks like you took a nice render and put it on a piece of shit background. Just saying.
