I've noticed a few people who have had reached UG (any of them) and then at some point in time have had their post count lowered for they cannot be in UG anymore. But they continue to have the rank, what I'm suggesting is for you to fix the post count req.


Example if you didn't get it.

John has 1000 post.
Torian lowers Johns post to 2.
John loses his x3 UG.
Torian laughs.

No ones forcing you to post at all. If you don't deserve Ug you don't deserve it.

Ok so if they dont diserve then they get banned.. Thats there way of giving them a second chance but still punishing them for what ever they did

You can't decide if they are perm banned or not. Its based of what they did.
Basically what Im saying is if your post count is deducted and you have less of a post count then you should to be in that ug you should be kicked out.

Well its at the Mods gretion (however you spell it) they decide i just think we havnt had a incident like that yet

Ok but the question is why did he get his post lowered what did he do?? Exactly no matter what he did its still up to the Mods to decide not us... Another example "Rape" He was temp banned for spamming.... he could get perm baned next time you never know and zxeenon too....they just decided to ban him why i dont know but the mods did it....
all im saying is leave it up to the mods basicly we have no say about banning and posts and gold they do not us...

We are not talking about banning.
Nor do we care why his post were lowered.
We are talking about the requirement for UG.

John is in Silver UG
Torian removes 4 post
John now has 497 post and is removed from SILVER UG FOR NOT HAVING 500 POST.

The users whose post was lowered because of spamming, they should be kicked out of UG.

Defy, we just need someone active who is constantly disciplining with temp bans or some shit. No one gives a shit when a mod gets on once a day and tells everyone stop that shit or else.

Here's my opinion, just an opinion..

To those whose post count was lowered because an admin/staff removed his/her SPAM post should get kicked out of UG or any other group which requires the said post count.

But in Gamechief's case, It really depends to the admin/staff.
If what he said in his profile was true. Then here's my opinion.
Arti lowered his post count because he fixed something in the site.
Helpful it is, but he doesn't have the rights to do it.
So Arti made a decision, which was to lower his post count.
Well, that sucks.
But it's better than getting banned. That's probably the case if Gamechief did this in another site.

I don't think any of you are understanding what she is saying.

She is saying if you automatically get the rank when you reach XXX amount of posts, if the post's drop under that requirement you should automatically lose the rank until you get back up over the amount needed.

For example;

Say for "Rank 1" you need 200 posts.

Mr. Alex get's 200 posts and obtains "Rank 1"
Mr. Alex loses 4 posts for spamming post count is 196 and he is no longer "Rank 1"
4 Days later Mr. Alex makes 200 posts again and becomes "Rank 1"



She isn't saying they need to be banned this should be an automatic thing.

Concept is is you hit XXX posts and get a prize if you go under XXX posts you lose the prize (Until you reach it again.)

May have been clear to you, but most of the people where going off about how GAMEcheif should be banned...wasn't even on topic.

If people have 500 posts, and they Get UG silver, and some Mod deletes a thread that they posted in, and they now have 499 posts, they shouldn't have silver anymore. It's only right.
But I don't see why this is such a big deal.

Because if they are not deserving of the rank they should not still have it.

So you're telling me Gamechief shouldn't be Silver UG.

Wanted to bring this back up for consideration/discussion.
Also seeing how Rape came back with 3xx post and has Silver Underground.

Its a great idea but cant they just ban the title Underground for x amount of days or months?

Pretty much...

Post to 50, your user group is automatically changed to UG Bronze.
Post to 500, your user group is automatically changed to UG Silver.
You get 250 posts deducted, but you're still in UG Silver...
The group only goes up, it has to manually be set to go back down.

or how about this shit, purge the underground, all of it, and force everyone to APPLY for it. if you feel that you have earned it your posts should be reviewed, like it used to be done, so if you havent earned the title, you dont get it.

They took that out because it's time consuming and Alex and Eric already said bronze UG is just a place holder pretty much. It's all about Gold, that you need to get accepted in.

Here's the problem with this:

I lost my posts as a 'punishment,' not for spam. Spamming your way into UG should result in loss of UG status. Automatically losing UG on a post count deduction eliminates post count deductions as a valid general punishment for any reason.

Also, that's not mentioning the way vBulletin is set up, it may very well not be possible (I mean, everything is possible, but it would be a pain in the ass with no modification already made for it).
