Programmers forum + Open-Source

I suggest a forum for trusted programmers so that the programs can be posted open-source in order to be improved upon. I think a collection of the minds on LG would work much better than each programmer having to learn the tricks of the trade individually. I mean, I've managed to bypass whatever problem Gaia threw at me by myself, but it would have saved a lot of time if this information were already made public by others who know it. I say for programmers specifically so Gaia/other sites don't get it.
I think it'll help expand the programs LG outputs and improve upon the ones already in existence.

I mean this specifically for Gaia hacks. I know there a "Source Codes" forum, but most the hacks on here aren't posted there for fear of them being stolen, which is why I suggest a new, invite-only forum.

More of a programming team, I guess, considering it would be programmers dedicated to LG instead of other hacking sites. Also, check the Edit.

Programming Team is exactly what you're looking for then... It may come back... Only problem is Arti isn't as active as he use to be soooo yeah.

Arti isnt active because he is on vacation. Hopefully once he gets back (Saturday or sunday) we will start to see alot of changed.

@OP - We use to have a programming team, and it was pretty good, they delivered some nice things. But you are talking about bots and stuff, right?

I think the team is on the verge of coming back, but we don't have any decent programers that have shown themselves yet, besides our site programmers, like chad.

I have a load of programs but don't want to release them for legal reasons. I'd be glad to help improve other programs, as - via my programs - I've had to bypass a lot of Gaia's anti-hacking crap to get them trk. If these same reasons are why there are no new programs, I can help fix it, which is why I suggest a programming team.

I think your first step is to release some programs you feel comfortable releasing to somewhere like UG Silver or Gold.

It exists, I'm guessing when the big guns open applications for Mod positions, programming team positions will open up aswell.

True, then the admins will handpick those programmers who released and helped the site.

I remember having some programs released as a requirement when you apply as a programmer trainee in the old LG.

There is one. Its for the team only though. Its a team forum. Not everyone can view it.

As is, there's only one person on the programming team, so that kinda makes the team useless. Are more going to be added with Arti/whoever gets back?

There are 2 (me and chad both have access to it) . And S mods + Admins get in. Trust me, its not useless we use it.
