It's been done with LG before, Arti is the only one with those commands, and he has either a lot on his plate, or has chosen to let LG fail till the "update" comes out. Either way, no matter how good of an idea this is, it won't happen till the update comes out...
This is a horrible idea. That turns users away from a site extremely fast. If they Google something and one of the results happen to be LG. They click it and they are greeted with a "you must register" screen without letting them see the content. That usually just turns people off and they go to the next search result.
@Temptii it is built into vBulletin, all you have to do is click a radio button and it's done.
I would maybe suggest making it so that the guests can view all of the sections, yet only be able to view a single thread before that popup shows. Just so that they can have a taste of LG before actually having to register.
