ADHD medication

A friend of mine gave me a few 10mg pills of vyvanse yesterday morning. I was wondering if anybody else has had experience with these sorts of drugs and what your opinion on their usage is. Personally my ex girlfriend gave me around 50 20mg pills about 10 months ago, I took about 2-3 pills a day for poops and gigs and found that it significantly decreased my ability to accomplish much of anything as I would focus on something as simple as an ant crawling on the floor for hours. I realized this and stopped taking it after only about five days, however today I decided to try it again in an attempt to catch up on my work as my usual work ethic is composed of sleeping and leaving school to go skate. I took only HALF of a 10mg pill before school and after about an hour my motivation skyrocketed from 0 to 10. I completed a social studies project, drew an awesome picture on my desk, actually acknowledged other students, wrote half a four page essay that isn't due for five more days that I hadn't even started on, consulted my friend on his own drug usage (while he still won't tell me what he's doing I'm lead to believe it's heroin, which was one of the reasons I was so unmotivated to start as he's been my best friend for four years), and even waxed up some ledge outside of my school! The only thing I didn't do was go to my basic ass computing in the modern world class and sing in chorus. Fuck that. It's probably still in my system considering how long this post is.

I only plan to use it when ABSOLUTELY necessary as I don't want it to be something I use as a crutch, I'm well aware that it would ultimately lead to my failure.

Did the police show up yet ?

The use of this medication is rampent in college. It personally disgusts me, as all drugs do. That aside, all chemicals that alter you mentally carry addiction factors, even if there isn't a chemical reason for addiction there are mental one(liking the feel).
The side effects can be pretty harsh and the factis itsmost likely forcing the release of chemicals in your brain whichmeans that continued use will eventual build a tolerance both to the meds them self as well as the chemical reaction the cause in your brain which will lead to higher dosages to achieve the same effect.
You're basically abusing perscription drugs, which is pretty prevalent in society and a leading cause of death now I believe. Regardless its illegal and could be bad not just for you but the people you get it from.
Also based on your description you're as likely to do nothing as you are to do something on these drugs plus you stilldo seem to be under the effects so you have no idea what the detox or crash is like yet.

I would advise against continue use but you make your own choice.

Based on my research the only confirmed side effect is a 5-10 day long period after quitting during which you just sleep and eat. Even so normal dosage is at least 20mg and I'd only take the 5mg like once a month at most. Seriously doubt that's enough to have any real negative effects but I am aware of the possibility.

Some drugs can really help people if they're sick.

I'm actually ON Vyvanse for ADD/ADHD. I abused it last year by taking doubling and tripling the dose. It was like being on speed x3. Now I'm not allowed to take it unless my parents give it to me. rofl.

It fucked me up though, DO NOT continue to abuse it. I actually need it. But that shit makes you feel hella fake. Most of the time it's like a man-period and will make you feel emotional/pissed off/happy for no god damn reason at the most random times.

I can relate to OP because I was diagnosed with ADD as a kid. Yes, I know every kid practically was, but I believe I actually suffer from it as I still possess all the symptoms to this day. They tried me on Ritalin as a youngin', but with no success. The way I think now still impedes on my organization, memory,drive to accomplish, and general life. I often associate my way of thinking to a freight train with tampered breaks. :P

If you feel you have trouble focusing to an extent that it's hindering your work at school, talk to your parents about going to see a psychiatrist for it. If they care about your grades and you stress just how sever the situation has become, they should comply. Otherwise, try to find some mental exercises, anything but using someone elses medication that you won' know the long term effects it will have on you.

No one on this forum is going to advocate drugs nor are they going to know how to use them. I would advise heading to 4chan or something if you really want knowledge.

Wow, you twat. You are supposed to take one pill a day for ANY ADHD medication unless stated otherwise on the bottle.
There is a HEAVY amount of addictive substance in all ADHD medications and once you start, it will be really hard to stop if you have not witnessed already.
Also your body will begin to grow immune to the medication and their effects will become less and less powerful and eventually they stop working all together but by then your addiction will have grown tremendously.
My Suggestion: DON'T FUCK WITH ADHD MEDICATION UNLESS YOU HAVE BEEN PROFESSIONALLY DIAGNOSED FOR IT. It will fuck up your life.

Any kind of drug is bad for halth even if doctor give you for your sleep.Ask doctor and he will also say same thing.

Lots of Attention Deficit medications are really addictive, Vyvanse being one of the most addictive.

The actual active effects of Vyvanse are different for every person, but there's a lot of common things most people experience.
One of which is becoming highly focused and concentrated.
Vyvanse is in fact an amphetamine, that means don't mess around and take a lot. Overdosing on Vyvanse is like taking speed. It's bad and it can last for 12+ hours. That's not something you want.

Also, keep in mind even if you were at some point put on a "similar" medicine for attention disorders doesn't mean Vyvanse will work the same way. Vyvanse doses are much stronger than say the equivalent measure of Adderal or something similar.

The side effects you noted are by no means the only side effects.
There are a host of common side effects, including Erectile Dysfunction. Keep in mind, that's just one of the common side effects.
The severe side effects include severe chest pains, hallucinations, and tremors.

Vyvanse and similar Attention Deficit medications are pretty common around schools now adays, especially colleges for things like the final exams and such. If I were you I'd be careful with the dosage and how frequently you take it.
