Another forum I am on has a rule that states as follows

  • (Forum) will not be held responsible for any deals made by members, so please do remember deal at your own risk.

I've seen members in the past lash out or ask the forum to take responsibility or take action because they were wrongly-do'd in their transaction. I believe this rule should be implemented to remove this overhead from the forum.

Said forum also has posting etiquette rules, which I believe should be implemented to any forum.
they are as follows.
  • Post in the correct category. Read the forum descriptions if you are confused.
  • Use good grammar. Basically start sentences with a capital and end it with punctuation.
  • Don't double post. That's when you post one after another instead of editing your existing first post.
  • Don't cross post. That's when you repeat a post in multiple threads or categories.
  • Create relevant subjects for threads. Shit like "OMG" for a subject is immature and asinine.
  • When posting content from another site, credit the site; use quotes and link to original content (unless it is a competing forum, in which case you shouldn’t be posting the content).
  • No "Post Here and PM me" threads will be allowed. This includes "Post Here and I'll PM You" or any "Post to PM" threads.
  • Be kind to others. How hard is it not to be an asshole?
  • Act like you're older than 16 even if you aren't.
  • No short, low quality posts like "bump", "lol", "roflmao", "thanks" and any repeated characters to defeat the min character count.

I'm not saying implement these rules exactly. Honestly, though, if you are a member of the forum these rules are a part of, you know this does not rule out people being mean to those deserve it, or that everyone must be some Nazi about grammar. I, however, believe a lot of this can apply to LG. Especially the Low Quality post rules. The spammy rules. And the one about posting content from other sites.

The last one states a character count. We do not have this implemented, but honestly it wouldn't hurt. This is not up to me though.

Just a simple suggestion, take what you please form this. I'm not saying all of this should be implemented, at all. I just think a few should be considered. And if you make a point to try and post a rebuttal to these, it's stupid. You should focus on things that would improve the forum, not knit pick a few of the examples (as I KNOW will happen) trying to say "This would be a bad idea bla bla/this isn't needed/we have this rule"
lul
Just ignore it then.
