People would rep abuse, its better now than it was back then. Word of mouth is good, if you cant remember who contributes you should get checked
Shh, I'm watching My little pony.

what Bman said. There is no point unless it is being heavily moderated and controlled by the staff. No point. Maybe Alex will put it back on the site. Its up to him.

Can we please stop having these threads? Back in the day, rep was abused badly so theres no need to introduce that again.

contrary, there is a need, but there has to be limits on it, hence no point. a thanks button would be much easier. you can take away your thanks if it doesn't actually help.

I do think that it is needed. If users start to abuse it than get more active staff! Soul , Torian, and Google are perfect staff. If we could get more staff like them than the rep system and the whole forum could easily be kept under control and the users could enjoy more privileges.

thats not always true, iTrader is not always the best way, not everyone trades and therefore not everyone has a high iTrader. There are many ways to see how someone is trust worthy, not just iTrader or Rep.

No shit, but most people at first glance, if their iTrader is in the shitter, they should have enough common sense not to trust a program they just "made" that will change their world...
I'm not saying that iTrader is 100%, I'm saying it's better than Rep... an abuse only situation...

all things can be abused and misleading. there are so many ways around the abuse in the systems. iTrader, Rep, anything like this can be abused. And usually is. And now iTrader has been disabled for the mean time, as has LGG.
Now is a time to see who is truely trustworthy. Be optimistic.Voted Hottest Male Member

There's no reason to get defensive over someone trying to be Defy...
Just laugh at all the people who think you're an admin. They're just fucking morons.
Hey Michael, if you were admin(which you never will be), please tell me the code you'd put in to make that idea work, kthx. Don't talk shit unless you can back shit up.

This would have helped for my case.
I miss my old LG account.

tl;dr the whole thread.
However, here's what I've been thinking of. I honestly think it'd be a greater idea if we implement a "Thanks" system, where people can post "thanks" on posts that they deem worthy. The list of people who said "Thanks" would appear under that post, you could only give thanks to a user every 'x' minutes, and the total amount of thanks you have received would appear under your amount of posts. I'll be contacting Artificial about this soon.
