I just noticed that in the past few days. What's up with it? I thought Jagex would never do it.

well... they did it.
:)
Edit: a while ago too i think
Wanna elaborate?.... Like any reason why?
I also thought Jagex would never do it and hadn't noticed it until you mentioned it. Nice touch though, lets you pick different names. And I'll bet people were bitching about name changes so Jagex just put it in.
People been bitching about it forever though. Never thought Jagex would actually listen to us.
well... they did. shouldn't you be happy?
Stop spamming.
Too bad they won't listen to us about the PvP and trading stuff. I know so many people that would start playing as members again if they changed it back to normal.
I actually like the idea of having the abbility to change your username if you're a paying member, i think now us members can say we have something that's not already offered to free members, since jagex is more concered about free worlds recently.
Look you have to kind of lok at the PVP and Trade limit in their perspective.
All the botters were making thousands and thousands of dollars because they could just trade the gold. PvP easily the same reason. Prevents all those gold botters and farmers from selling their goods. They were losing money from this, and not to mention it is illegal, and they wanted to stop that from happening. Would you rather have a ton of people goldfarming and botting or have just players.
How was it illegal? It was against game rules, that's all. In addition to getting rid of lots of botters, they also took a huge chuck out of actual players too.
They did it because noobs were spam-requesting it in the suggestion forum, simple.
Um @the post on last page that quoted my post, I would rather have botters and RWTing going on with the old rules (considering I bot myself so I am a supporter of botting). And its not illegal just against RS's retarded rules. Real world trading is a part of any game, there is tons of it in WoW but it has just become a part of the economy. They ban you if they catch you, but they aren't going to ruin the game just to get rid of it. And yes Iguideyou, noobs suck. Like I wish they would all just stop playing videogames and realize they just piss everyone else off.
We were all noobs a tone point, maybe not so damn annoying, but noobs nonetheless. I also take old RS over new any day.
well a newb is a new player a noob is an annoying *********************
Technicalities. They mean the same thing to some people.
Ontopic: I think we need more freeplay quests now. :P
True botters and goldfarmers do make up atleast half the population. Set market values. Get items for players to buy. But you...
Who am I kidding.. I want old runescape back D:
Furreals. :(
I use to bot. but that stopped when 121 account was permed.
That happens in every MMO. The botters/real worlders (new word haha) always find a way around the system. I personally know like three ways to transfer gold now anyway.
Iguideyou stop spamming and go read the rules.
On topic: ^As do I Gabe, they take a little longer than before (ovbiously with the new system) but you can still trade fine nonetheless. Its kind of like Gaia. They are constantly updating, but will never stop us from making up like half the population and controlling the Auction House.
That's what Jagex really needs to realize. They went from 100k+ active players at a time to barely 50k.
Yeah they are pretty much just ruining their own income, you know? I know a so many people that quit with that update. They must have lost a ton in membership subscriptions, it is probably more cost effective for them to just leave the RWTing and keep the old stuff.
Besides the fact that it was actually profitable for the sweatshops too. Those people were making money, most likely their only form of income, however small it may be. They killed that off.
I changed my name :D I luv that they added it, you should be happy.
Well I would be if I was a member.
Epic fail.
- I quit too because of this
Its no fun not being a member...
There is nothing to do without membership. The game is pretty much useless.
