Anyone know of a way to get around the login attempts limit on sites that block you for 15 minds for 5 failed attempts etc? Site is using vBulletin if that helps at all...
I tried the old login to different accounts but it still counts all those failed attempts against your ip. I also tried logging in with an account to see if that would reset the attempts but it does not. I don't want to have to have like millions of proxies, so I was wondering if anyone else had a creative solution to this problem? I think the ip attempts are stored server side in a DB so i doubt clearing cookies or anything along those lines would work...

Yeah proxies are an obvious solution, but I would need like thousands of them, which is pretty hard to get. Like this is for something very large scale.

Basically a lot of online avatar sites employ this type of protection. Web proxies are of no use in this case, not what im looking for. I'm looking for a non-proxy solution.

https://www.torproject.org/
1) Download
2) Install
3) IP blocked from a site after 5 attempts? Click the button that says "New Identity"
4) Repeat step 3 endlessly as needed.Gaiaonline Exploit Log:

I guess I could integrate TOR with my program, though that sounds awfully complicated and slow. I decided just to change avatar sites.

For a cracker, Tor seems pretty slow. I mean they don't IP ban much, but when your requests take a long time to send, it really slows down the cracker.
