It's interesting to look into pokemon lore. Mew theoretically exists at the same time as Arceus. There is a popular theory that says Mew creates humans and Arceus creates pokemon. Humans start being assholes so Arceus makes multiple legendary pokemon to destroy humanity. Mew makes more legendary pokemon to protect humans. Fighting ends. Mew then splits it's power between its self and several incarnations of its self(ie all the other cute teacher/benevolent legendaries) so that it can teach humans to live in harmony with pokemon and avoid Arceus destroying again.
Very interesting connections starting with the creator. Especially in the tree format.
I've not been keeping myself updated with all the new pokemon and legendaries, but Lugia will forever be my favorite pokemon.
Pfft, everyone knows Ho-oh was better.
What Japanese lore have you been reading?
They have multiple gods just in there creation story for Japan. If I recall correctly those god are just god, they exist, whatever, no real "god of something" factor. Then you look at Shinto which basically says there is a god, demon, spirit for everything. You literally can't spit in Japan without it landing on a shrine or the former location of a shrine.
This is SO COOL AHSLDJH
They have like 15 god appear and go into hiding before a group of god comes into existence that are discernibly male and female with family relations and these create Japan and people eventually. The Earth just sort of come together and so do the heavens. Blood and the dipping of a spear/sword in to the ocean creates Japan.
But the originator of existence...
Wow, seeing this actually makes me want to play again.
I'm such a hoarder and I remember I was so disappointed as a kid, when I found out you couldn't catch all pokemon :(
I've played all versions up to SS/HG, but I'm not sure about the newer ones, they all looked so weird to me.
