Ok, so you'd either have to be a real nerd or remember VHS tapes to know about the pokemon manga. Did anyone else ever read any of it?
The Electric Tale of Pikachu & Adventures are my favorites. They are considerably darker and adult in content and I really enjoy them plus the characters are better in my opinion. Red > Ash

I have the first Pokemon manga book, and I've been looking into getting the others but couldn't find them anywhere. I'll try to take a picture of the book and post it tomorrow, it's pretty good.
