Mon Seul .
whaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?
You're gonna need to slip in some CSS before Java, and some JavaScript before PHP.
Also, it will take years before you make it to PHP.
Also, XHTML before Java.
Java -> JavaScript
JavaScript will help you learn DOM (by forcing you to learn DOM), which will help you understand HTML to the fullest degree. After JavaScript, both PHP and C++ will be easy.
Ok. I'm getting confused with the javascript
can you plot out how I should do it? :B
HTML -> XHTML -> CSS -> Java or JavaScript (interchangable; doesn't really matter which comes first) -> PHP -> flash / C++
imo, Java is useless though. I wouldn't bother learning it. Especially with flash as an alternative.
Alright got it
Are you good at flash btw? Like adobe flash, and what are your opinions on adobe dreamweaver?
fyi. if you keep up with my noob questions I'll give you lgg :)
i think u need php >< not sure
Never used flash. Couldn't find a compiler worth a shit that was free.
Also, don't use ANY pagebuilders in any way, shape, or form. Therefore Dreamweaver can go suck a dick.
Mmkay.
So I take it flash wouldn't be that exciting xD
What do people build games on? Like Sonny, Gemcraft, etc.
Games and apps you know?
For consoles? I think each console has its own language. Most PC games are made using C++ and the like. Visual C++ probably. I never learned much of the whole gaming languages.
Games like Gaia use PHP/MySQL.
@ Game: The JavaScript programming language, developed by Netscape, Inc., is not part of the Java platform. The JavaScript programming language shares some attributes with the Java programming language, but it was developed separately.
just so you know. Java is a lot like C#
Console games use C# and C++.
Java vs Javascript
@ NotNeccesary: if you want to go into game developing I suggest you learn, Vb.net first and then go on to C#.net and C++.net and learn Java along with them along with some flash. C#.net is used for a lot of small games for the computer. For example the triangle man that was posted in the LG v1.0. Java makes online games. Example; Internet Checkers, Shooting games that you can find on miniclip, Sherwood Online by: MaidMarian. Flash for example as in Gaia Games.
AS3 is a good language as well for gaming. Gaia is slowly updating to AS3. As you can tell in most of there new games.
You might want to look into, Game Developer or Game Maker. I think that's what it's called. It's a program that has it's own language for developing games.
No Idea if this is it but give it a shot; http://www.yoyogames.com/gamemaker/
I mean like games on Kongregate, Armorgames, etc.
I heard you could use JDK for apps using android>?
If you need some tips when starting Flash, I have some experience.
Thanks for telling me what I already know?
I was saying it didn't matter what order to learn them in, since it takes about the same skill level to program in each language (it wouldn't make it easier to learn one if the other was learned first) and neither have prerequisites that he wouldn't already know by that point in time.
