That's a sad thought. I don't suppose you've got the ability in the admin area to make a back up of some sort? I'm not familiar with the kind of features available but if that's possible, in the event it did go down permanently we could restore it on a new server if needed. It wouldn't be ideal but it would at least be reliable and we wouldn't be living in fear that it would go down again for a long period of time like last year.
Over the past couple of years there hasn't been very much admin activity so I don't know if you're aware but last year I believe the site was down for almost the whole year and prior to that every couple of months it would be down for a few weeks or months.

I just checked whois to see if there was a listed owner but it seems that information is being masked by godaddy. You can pay extra when purchasing a domain to use your registrar's details instead of your own so your information isn't available to the public (to stop unsolicited emails and phone calls). If it's not listed on whois it's not likely that they would provide any sort of information unfortunately.
